What is Vaping and Why Do People Vape?
Vaping (or vaporizing) has been around for a long time and has been the popular choice for cannasseurs. The smell is discrete and the feeling is fast and clean. The cannabis does not burn – so the vapor maintains the beautiful scent and taste of the strains’ terpenes. Vaporizing cannabis verses smoke combustion is also preferable for a cannabis enthusiast who has respiratory concerns – yours or for those around you. Vaping also gains access to highest amounts of THC possible in comparison to smoking cannabis.
What is Vaporizing??
Vaporizing converts THC into vapor below point of combustion. There are two ways vaporizers heat your cannabis – Convective and Conductive. Convective heating uses air to move the heat that creates cannabis vapor. Conductive is a motionless heat transfer. For example, a screen is heated, then that heat transfers to the cannabis to make vapor. The ideal temperature of vaporizing cannabis flowers is around 338 degrees to 392 degrees. As you get used to your vaporizer you will discover the best temperature for you. Too low and you will only vaporize the terpenes – no THC. Too high and you could burn your cannabis and release the same toxins created by combustion.
How to Vaporize.
About 85% of the THC content is vaporized when you use cannabis flowers. The high is clear, fast acting and the taste is delectable.
There are two types of herbal vaporizers – stationary and portable.
Stationary vaporizers are larger and used at home. You could bring it to a dinner but expect to need a large bag to carry it in. Vaporizing can be achieved via whip method and bag method. The whip method uses a tube and a mouth piece that connects directly to the vaporizer. The bag method fills a balloon like bag with an attachable mouthpiece. Stationary vaporizers are normally used for cannabis flowers. I like to sprinkle keif or wax atop a bed of freshly grinded flowers. My stationary vaporizer cost around $400. I have kept it in good shape for the past 8 years. I only had to replace the bags once.
Portable vaporizers are slightly larger than a vape pen and are attractive because of convenience and discretion. If you are on the go, you will appreciate that a majority of portable vaporizers include a rechargeable battery. Portable vaporizers range from $100 to $400.
Vape Pens are available in 4 styles.
- Disposable one time use pens
- Cartridges you fill yourself
- Pre filled disposable cartridges
- Fill the chamber one bowl at a time
Vape pens are becoming a popular choice for the growing cannabis community. We offer disposable Medi X vape pens and beautifully crafted vape pens. Vape pens are the epitome of convenience and discretion – you can vape anywhere! E-cigs are known to give off a huge amount of vapor. Whereas vape pens made for concentrates not only give off a sweet aroma but the vapor is discrete as well. Vape pens are user friendly even to a cannabis novice. Most pens are set up to heat at the perfect temperature and only require the press of a button to release vapor. It is a good idea to allow your pen to cool down after a few puffs. You could end up overheating the pen. Vaping does offer a lighter more controlled potency per puff. I definitely recommend holding in the vapor before exhaling to maximize your high and conserve your product. Nowadays companies are competing to bring the best oils to consumers. Medi X produces 100% solvent free, pure, distillate oil that contains 80% THC content and up. So long as you choose the right stain from a company that lab tests their products, you can’t go wrong when you use a vape pen.
Vape pens are so small that my case normally contains a variety of options. 1 disposable pen, 2 prefilled cartridges, 1 battery, ½ gram of wax, a dab tool and 1 vape pen chamber – more or less. I always plan on sharing so I want my friends to enjoy whatever I have with me.
Medi X is a great choice to start incorporating cannabis into your everyday life. Check out our super clean and tasty concentrates. You won’t be disappointed.
